The Toronto Raptors selected University of North Carolina forward Ed Davis with the 13th pick in the NBA draft Thursday.
The six-foot-10 Davis led the Tar Heels in rebounding, with 9.6 per game, blocked shots (2.8), and was second in scoring (13.4).
Davis suffered a season-ending injury on Feb. 10 when he broke a bone in his left wrist.
The selection of the 21-year-old was the first piece of an uncertain roster puzzle for the Raptors in an off-season marked by questions.
All-star forward Chris Bosh is set to become a free agent July 1, and hasn't so much as hinted what his future plans are.
Disgruntled forward Hedo Turkoglu has said he wants out of Toronto
