NEW ORLEANS — You'll be halfway through the D-Day Museum before you learn Canada played a significant role in that historic event.

However, it is not as bad as many Hollywood movies, which imply the U.S. won World War II single-handedly.

Once Canada is introduced it gets a pretty good shake from the world's only museum dedicated to the June 6 D-Day invasion of Europe 66 years ago. Animated diagrams show a Canadian flag — today's flag, not the 1944 version — sweeping over Juno Beach on June 6, 1944.
